Sweet & Clean Romance Books I Regret Not Reading Sooner: and you should read immediately!

Posted on September 11, 2024February 13, 2025 by sweetcleanreads

They say better late than never, but I can’t help but wish I’d read these sweet & clean romance books a long time before I did. I just let them sit on my TBR forever! But once I picked them up each book introduced me to a new favorite author and/or series.

Don’t make the same mistake I did and let these collect dust on your TBR – read them today!

Sweet & Clean Romance

Love Practically by Nichole Van – historical romance, marriage of convenience, set in Scotland

Why I waited – I thought I didn’t like historical romance, boy was I wrong! This is one of my favorite books ever!!

Compared by Kortney Keisel – widowed dad falls for his son’s teacher, laugh out loud funny, read with tissues

Why I Waited – I thought it would be too heavy since he’s a widower, but Kortney gave a fantastic balance of heart & humor

A Song of Thieves by Jacqueline Guernsey – romantasy, enemies to lovers

Why I waited- I thought I wouldn’t like a fantasy book but it blew me away, it gave me the best book hangover!

Sign Me Up by Dulcie Dameron – friends to lovers, workplace romance, Jim & Pam from The Office vibes

Why I waited – I don’t *love* friends to lovers but this book made me a believer!

The Even Odder Couple by Julie Christianson – frenemies to lovers, workplace, off limits

Why I waited – wasn’t sure I would like the male lead,  he was like Clark Kent all handsome and nerdy with his glasses, one of the best cinnamon roll fictional men ever!

Okay, now I need to re read all of these!

What’s a book you regret waiting too long to read??
