Lately I’ve been on a historical romance kick, especially historical that take place in mid-to-late 1800’s in America! When I first came across Yours Truly, Thomas by Rachel Fordham I immediately added it to my TBR because everything about it sounded like it was written for me.
A little bit of mystery? Check.

Yes! Based on the standards that I use on this blog, I would qualify this book as sweet & clean.

Your Truly, Thomas by Rachel Fordham kicked off my reading for 2025 and it was a fantastic way to start the year. An easy five star read!
When I read the blurb for this book it reminded me of the Hallmark Mysteries show Signed, Sealed, Delivered- do you remember that? About the mystery-solving team who worked in the dead letter office at the post office? If you loved that show, this book is a must read!
Penny (our female lead) works in the dead letter office and when she comes across a mysterious letter from a man named Thomas (our male lead), she can’t help but investigate. Her investigation eventually leads her to adventure and love. 💕
This is my third book by Rachel Fordham and I cannot get enough of her writing style. I love the way she crafts a story, keeping you intrigued and engaged, never slowing the plot with pointless information. Penny & Thomas were both experiencing so much heart ache and loss, I loved the positive upbeat messages of the book. The romance is super slow burn and absolutely worth the wait!
An excellent read for any Christian historical romance lover!

As of the publishing of this blog post you can find Yours Truly, Thomas by Rachel Fordham on Amazon as part of the Kindle Unlimited program. Unfortunately, this means that you will not be able to find an eBook version at your library, since Kindle Unlimited requires exclusivity.
However, there is also an audiobook version of the book which is available on Audible & Everand (as of 1/17/2025). And of course, there is a paperback version to purchase, and you might also be able to find this at your local library.
